City of San Antonio Names Executive Director for San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau
City Manager Sheryl Sculley has appointed Casandra Brown Matej as the Executive Director of the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Matej comes to the City with more than 15 years of experience in the Convention and Visitors Bureau, Hotel, and Leisure industries. Prior to her appointment, she served as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Services for the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau for the past three years. During her tenure, she was instrumental in implementing the restructuring of sales and resource allocations for the Dallas CVB, which resulted in a 40 percent growth of convention room night sales.
Matej holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Speech Communications with a concentration in Organizational Communications from the University of Texas at Austin.
