Dee Dee Poteete

Director of Communications

Dee Dee Poteete is a 30-year public relations professional who has been with the Convention & Visitors Bureau for 17 years. She directs public relations for the organization nationally and internationally. To date, she has generated more than $100 million in positive publicity for the City of San Antonio. She is an active member of the Society of American Travel Writers; the Texas Travel Industry Association; Destination Marketing Association International; Travel Industry of America and the Public Relations Society of America, Travel & Tourism. Dee Dee holds a B.A. in English Communications Arts from St. Mary’s University.

Sara Gruber

Sara Gruber joined the Communications team in 2007. She specializes in culinary and active lifestyle. Prior to joining the CVB, Sara spent four years in the magazine industry, most recently as the Editor-in-Chief for Eve, A Magazine for Women. Sara holds a B.A. in English, with a focus on literature.

Sara’s San Antonio: There is nothing like morning on the River Walk. The cafes slowly opening, the people walking and chatting—the pace is slower. It is the absolute best time to explore the pocket gardens that line the river or curl up on a bench with a good book.

Krystal Jones

Senior Brand Manager

Krystal joined the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau in 2011. As a Senior Brand Manager, she coordinates communications strategies for family travel and the San Antonio Vacation Experience (SAVE), a program designed to let visitors experience more of San Antonio for less. Krystal is a Public Relations Society of America San Antonio's Horizon Award winner and currently serves as the Hospitality Co-Chair for the organization. She earned a master’s degree in public relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and communication studies from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio.

Eva Aivaliotis

Brand Manager

Eva Aivaliotis has been with the Marketing & Communications team since early 2008. She graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.A. in International Communication - Advertising/PR. Eva is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Travel & Tourism and New Professionals sections. She served as the 2011 Newsletter Editor for the PRSA New Pros Executive Committee. In 2012, she was named a 30 Under 30 by the Destination Marketing Association International. She is heavily involved in the city's food scene, and runs a culinary blog, Mesa a Mesa: Table to Table in San Antonio.

Eva’s San Antonio: The vibe in San Antonio is fun and laid-back. I always run into people at my favorite taco place on Sunday morning. It captures the essence of the city: warm people, simple food, and lots of laughs!
