“SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration” Lights Up the Holidays

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Nov. 20, 2019) – Gather your family and meet your festive friends at SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration, taking place on select dates from Nov. 23 through Jan. 5, 2020. For 30 magical days, the park is transforming into a winter wonderland with more than 9 million sparkling lights, including NEWlighting and décor to enhance the park’s 15 holiday themed areas. 

Experience award-winning entertainment, from the Sesame Street® Christmas Parade to seasonal shows like The Story of Christmas; rub noses with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer; marvel at the nostalgia of a NEW traditional miniature train village; or head to Christmas Market and visit Santa himself. Also, park-goers have the chance to dine with jolly ol’ Saint Nick over a sumptuous holiday meal with the help of his kitchen elves.

Holiday Presentations

In Jinglin’ Around the Block Party, guests can join their favorite Sesame Street characters as they welcome one of Santa's elves, Figgy, to Sesame Street.  Little ones can enjoy dancing with Elmo and his friends as Sesame Street Bay of Play is filled with Christmas cheer.

Merry Mariachis bring a bit of Fiesta flare to classic holiday tunes as they welcome guests to the park with the sounds of the Christmas season like only mariachis can.

Enjoy a live nativity complete with carolers in a spectacular Christmas favorite based on the greatest story ever toldThe Story of Christmas is a touching, light-hearted and glorious experience representing the true glory of Christmas.

As part of SeaWorld’s transformation into a winter wonderland, don’t miss the Sesame Street Christmas Parade, featuring Elmo and friends on fantastic floats decorated for the celebration.

Join a jolly team of adopted dogs, cats, birds, skunks and even a pig as they work together, play together, and create heart-warming holiday memories in the A Pets Ahoy Christmas show. 

Sights to See

Returning for another year of festive fun, guests can immerse themselves in the story of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at Rudolph’s Christmas Town.  Stroll past life-size story book vignettes featuring the classic tale, and meet beloved characters including Rudolph and friends.

SeaWorld guests can sip hot cocoa as they experience Coca-Cola Lane, presented by Coca-Cola®, featuring over 100,000 striped red and white lights in this self-guided area of the park. From the 8-foot-tall candy canes to the red and white floral designs, Coca-Cola Lane will leave guests craving peppermint.      

Take a stroll through Snowman Village where guests can pose for photos with life-size snowmen, including The RockerThe PunkerThe King and other zany characters that have been frozen in time.

The Christmas Cove area of the park will make guests feel like they’ve stepped back a half-century in this 1950s-inspired area featuring themed prizes at the park’s game stations and plenty of photo opportunities.

In the Sea of Trees area, guests will enjoy taking a stroll to watch the beautiful display of Christmas trees on the park’s lake.

Be sure to stop by Christmas Market to share your wishes and dreams with Santa Claus and meet his live reindeer.  Complete with playful elves, country decor, a sparkling tunnel of lights, festive entertainment, delicious culinary delights, the market is the centerpiece of SeaWorld’s Christmas event. 

To help guests enjoy all the fun of Christmas, SeaWorld welcomes back the Christmas Traditions Tour, with one of Santa’s expert elves as guide. The tour includes a family photo with Santa Claus, a meet-and-greet with live reindeer, an exclusive meet-and-greet with a sea lion, reserved seating at SeaWorld shows, a holiday mug with delicious hot chocolate and a twinkling Christmas necklace.

And, no visit to SeaWorld is complete without spending time with our incredible marine animals. Guests have the opportunity to view, engage with and learn about everything from killer whales, dolphins, belugas, sharks and penguins to other fish, sea turtles and more. Be sure to visit the park’s newest exhibit, Turtle Reef™, featuring a first-of-its-kind biofiltration habitat. Guests can get an up-close look at endangered and rescued sea turtles and multi-colored fish, while learning more about the human impact on the oceans.

Hanukkah Celebration

During SeaWorld’s Hanukkah Celebration, the lights will shine brightly at sunset on Sunday, Dec. 29, during the 2nd Annual Menorah Lighting at the park’s colorful Sesame Street Bay of Play. Celebrants can enjoy all the traditions of the Festival of Lights and make treasured memories with family and friends. This special event is included with park admission.
