“SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration” 2018 Shines Bright with 9 Million Lights

SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 13, 2018) – SeaWorld San Antonio’s Christmas Celebration is intent on making spirits brighter than ever this holiday season with 9 million shimmering lights, the largest lighting display in the state of Texas, for 35 select days – between Nov. 17 through Jan. 6, 2019.

As part of SeaWorld’s transformation into a winter wonderland, guests won’t want to miss the newSesame Street® Christmas Parade, on select dates, with fantastic floats decorated for the celebration. In addition, the parade promises show-stopping music and dance performances that will have everyone moving to the melodies with their favorite Sesame Street furry friends.

To help guests enjoy all the fun of Christmas, SeaWorld welcomes back the Christmas Traditions Tour, with one of Santa’s expert elves as guide. The tour includes a family photo with Santa Claus, a meet-and-greet with live reindeer, an exclusive meet-and-greet with a beluga whale, reserved seating at SeaWorld shows, a holiday mug with delicious hot chocolate and a twinkling Christmas necklace.

Another new addition is SeaWorld’s Christmas Karaoke, which enables guests to show off their vocal talents by selecting and singing along to their favorite Christmas songs.  The Christmas Celebration also features Santa Claus, a variety of holiday-themed activities and shows, and a selection of the season’s favorite holiday foods. During the Three Kings Day celebration featuring a living nativity scene and live camels, Jan. 1-6, families can commemorate the arrival of the Three Wise Men. The new event brings SeaWorld’s holiday season to an incredible close with festive cuisine and celebratory experiences that honor the cherished traditions of Latin cultures.

In addition to the Twinkle Ticket, SeaWorld will have a variety of discounts available through its Blue Friday promotion, the park’s version of the Black Friday shopping phenomenon. In keeping with SeaWorld’s ongoing commitment to conservation, all 9 million Christmas Celebration lights are LED-based, utilizing up to 90 percent less energy than traditional holiday lights. The park also will utilize solar energy to power portions of the massive holiday display.
