San Antonio Zoo is offering FREE admission to Texas teachers during its Teacher Appreciation event held during the month of February. As an added bonus, teachers can bring up to four guests with them and receive 50% off standard admission on the date of their visit and 10% off one purchase in the zoo.

The zoo is one of the best nature-based learning environments and what better way to share our passion for educating than to invite those who are molding the minds of future conservationists.

To qualify for the discount, participants must be an active teacher in any school district in the state of Texas, employed by an accredited pre-K-12 public, private or parochial school in the state of Texas, provide a driver's license, AND the following items at the ticket window:

  • Copy of Texas Teachers Certificate
  • Pay stub from school district/school (public or private school)
  • Photo ID/Badge from school district/school
