A new haunted house, two new scare zones and a new evening show highlight 2018 offerings

SAN ANTONIO (September 19, 2018) — The dead won’t stay buried for 16 select nights this fall at SeaWorld San Antonio’s Howl-O-Scream. The popular annual event returns Sept. 28 through Oct. 28 with an all-new haunted house, two new scares zones – or Terror-tories – and a thrilling new live show.

“Howl-O-Scream is one of our most popular events – and this year will be our scariest yet,” said SeaWorld San Antonio President Carl Lum. “Our newest haunted house, Zombie Horde, puts guests in a post-apocalyptic setting where they’ll come face-to-face with the living dead – one wrong move and they’ll be joining the horde.”

Nearly two decades old, Howl-O-Scream has become one of the largest Halloween attractions in the state of Texas with more than 30 acres of tormenting surprises and unexpected terrors – including four haunted houses, five terror-tories, two live shows and three themed bars.

All haunted houses and scare zones are included as part of regular SeaWorld admission. Those with an insatiable thirst for terror are encouraged to take advantage of several evil upgrade opportunities – including priority haunted house access Fear Passes, Face Your Fears Tour – an exclusive, no lines guided experience – and Fright Feast – an all-new terrifyingly delicious dining experience.

SeaWorld San Antonio’s gates will open at 10 a.m. on event days with Spooktacular – the park’s kid-friendly Halloween celebration as well as all the popular shows, rides and attractions. Howl-O-Scream rises from the dead at 7 p.m. increasing the park’s scare level to one recommended for mature audiences only.

To ensure everyone can enjoy all the fun and fear Spooktacular and Howl-O-Scream have to offer, SeaWorld is introducing Spook-camp-ular – a safe and fun-filled experience for children ages 5-13. Available from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. on event days, Spook-camp-ular enables parents to enjoy all the horror that Howl-O-Scream has to offer while their kids enjoy games, crafts, animal presentations, pizza and snacks.

The best way to experience Howl-O-Scream is with a $39 single-day ticket – available for purchase through September 28 and valid for admission through October 7. Visit SeaWorldSanAntonio.com for more information and to purchase tickets.
